Still Healing My Self

Yes,that's right, I'm doing it again, healing my self. I mentioned in a previous post that I have tremors, and was seeking ways to strengthen my nervous system. If you are curious about the tremors you can read my post on A Month of Health I, also take a look at Anxiety, Stress, and the Nervous System.

So, I mentioned I was going to purchase some nutritional yeast, which I did. It's funny because when I was reading about the type of tremors I have all my research stated there was no cure. No cure!!! Okay this maybe true, but the nutritional yeast temporarily relieves the tremors. I was so excited, and upon visiting a friend I held out my hand, and she gasped at the fact I was not shaking. My voice would also shake when I talked, and that symptom is also temporarily relieved.

I eat some every day, it is being used as a cheese substitute by vegans, so anything I would put cheese on there it goes. I have put it on my baked potato, in my soups, on sandwiches, chicken, and made a nacho cheese dip. Eating it once a day relieves my symptoms from tremors allllllll day!! Yeah, me!!

First I have to say that my tremors are mild, and second I am not qualified to give medical advise. This is simply to educate others. I am however curious to know if this would help those with Parkinson's disease.

Next up, my blood pressure has been high, for me this is an easy fix. Jump on the rebounder for 2 minutes every half hour, and take Hawthorne berry twice a day, lowered my blood pressure. It is important to add that we have a blood pressure monitor,

I am not on any type of synthetic drugs, everything I take is natural. If you are on synthetic drugs you should talk with your health care provider to see if this could indeed help you..

  1. Wow, you must be so encouraged! I am sorry to hear you have tremors. I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet--excruciating pain so I had to start taking drugs, but I am dong other things too and perhaps one day be off the drugs!

    1. Yes, Suzanne I am, I think one key to being able to use natural ingredients to heal your self is catching it at the beginning. However, that was not the case with tremors, but I am thankful I am drug free, keep it up and one day you can be too.

  3. Tremors as so annoying. My husband's family had tremors that are benign and run in the family. My husband though, has now developed essential tremors, chorea and dystonia and no one, not even the Cleveland Clinic can find the cause yet. Good luck. I hope you can get them to lessen.

    1. Curteedst, thanks for asking, after almost a week of consuming nutritional yeast my hands will not shake the entire day, my speech is no longer shaky, and for the first time in months I was able to write in cursive at a regular speed without it being shaky.

I have been eating everyday with my first meal, and the results last me all day, yeah me.

  7. HI Joyce. Thanks for linking at Pintastic Pinteresting Party! Isn't it wonderful what our bodies can do when we take the bad things out and put the good things in. I too am on a health journey. I gave up on physician's being able to find out what was causing my problem and am focusing on putting good nutrition in it instead. It works.

  8. Hi Joyce! I'm stopping in from Let's Get Real today. I really believe that food is medicine. It healed my severe digestive and anxiety issues. I had hoped that our change in diet would help my husband's high blood pressure, but it hasn't. Exercise certainly would help him. I wonder if the Hawthorne berry might help as well? One way to find out...........

    1. Just make sure he is monitoring his blood pressure if he takes it. My husband has high blood pressure also and is on meds, but has been able to lower his dosage.
