A Month of Health I

This would be a long blog post if I posted the whole thing so I am going to do as a series.

I spent a month focusing on my health. I don't go to regular main stream doctors any more, so I went to both the man at the local health store and a suppose it homeopathic female doctor.

First my visit to the local health store. The man who owns the store does Iridology, which is a study of the iris in our eyes. By looking at the iris, one who studies Iridology, can tell about various health issues going on inside the body. It's great because he does this for free, one of the reasons I wanted this done is because a health issue came up right before my daughter came.

I woke up one day feeling fine when I went to make my eggs I noticed my hand would not do the scrambling process correctly. When I went to go on the computer I noticed my fingers were not working right on the keyboard. What the heck I thought, later on I noticed I could hardly write my name and my words were slurred. My first thought was a stroke, but I was fine the first two hours, and knew I felt fine. That is what led me to the local health store.

I was happy to see his son there who is a registered nurse. They asked what brought me there and I told them I thought maybe I had a stroke. After telling them what I experienced they  checked my tongue and had me smile. No, no signs of a stroke, they asked about stress, yes there was some with my daughter coming and bringing her rich boyfriend. We are modest people who live a simple life style which I felt we might be judged for.

It was determined that I have familial tremors, one sign his son recognized was that my hands shake. It is more noticeable in the morning, so I never thought anyone noticed. My mom's hands used to shake and she would always say her nervous were shot. Turns out this health issue is seen as a genetic mutation, The cause is unknown in people who appear to not have any type of mutation, it also seems to be hereditary. There is no known cure of this, but with the supplements he gave me and trying to keep my life stress free has allowed the symptoms to subside ALOT.

It is stated that some people are misdiagnosed with Parkinson's disease

  • Shaking which can occur anywhere in the body, but usually appears in the hands. It can also appear in the legs, eye lids, and face as well.
  • Difficulty eating and speaking
  • Trouble with fine motor skills
If you think that you or someone you know might have familial tremors read more about it here.  While this article states to see a health care specialist to discuss treatment there really is no known treatment for familial tremors.

I'm going to list the supplements I am taking in the in another post due to the fact they are geared towards my over all health and not just the familial tremors.
