Louisiana is one of a handful of states where raw milk products are totally illegal. Does that mean that we can't get raw milk products? No, it doesn't, there are those in the state that know where to obtain them, and they do purchase them. I say kuddos to you, why should they tell us what we can and can't put into our bodies?
Currently there is a bill to make raw milk products legal. When politicians are approached to support the bill, they are saying no. No? Why???? Because we do not feel it is safe, really???? Not safe, who are you to tell us what is safe, and what is not? Oh, but you also won't support a labeling GMOs (genetically mutant organisms) bill, oh that's right it's good agriculture practice, will feed more people, who cares that GMOs are making our society sick. Oh, and if they are so good for us why have the majority of other countries banned them?
Raw milk products aren't good for me, and my family, but the following are healthy for us?

Just found out that the agriculture committee is considering herd sharing. The problem with this is that they are also requiring various equipment the farmers will have to buy. Farmers down here get barely nothing for their milk from big corporations, and they want them to buy more equipment!
I'm thinking leave it alone, and let people continue to do what they are doing, forget the politicians.
It's My Life, and I'm going to live it to the fullest.
Can you buy raw milk products in your state? Do you?
Yes my state Pennsylvania allows retail according to your map, but you can also buy it from Amish & Mennonite farmers. I agree that the government doesn't make sense worrying about raw milk when they are pushing vaccines and so many other toxins ingredients, but then there no profit in raw milk to the government or drug companies and that's what its all about - MONEY! Good article Joyce!
ReplyDeleteNot only are raw milk products illegal, but I think Amish are as well, lol, there are none here! Government is just a puppet, and money, yes that's what it is all about, sad.
DeleteWe can buy raw cheese no problem, but to get raw milk, you have to buy a herd share or "for pet use." We buy raw cheese from Amish farmers all the time, but drink almond milk at home.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had an Amish community around here, but we don't they are great resource.
DeleteWow what a difference raw makes but raw cow's milk? Nah can't do it.
ReplyDeleteHI Joyce,
ReplyDeleteI don't drink milk but I understand your point of view regarding the right to choose what you want to eat and leaving politics out of it. Thank you so much for sharing this informative post on the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop! I appreciate it!
