Homemade French Toast With Apple Syrup

So, I saw this recipe on Real Food Fridays for upside down french toast, and wanted to make it. Then I realized I didn't have everything I needed, but decided to make french toast anyway. Recently we bought a bread maker, and I had a wonderful idea to make the bread. I bought some coconut flour, and thought I would use that to make the bread, and here it is in all it's glory.

Wow!! This will make some of the best french toast ever, not. So, the next day I made more bread with regular flour, and it came out great. I had bought some apples, and found a recipe to apple topping, easy peasy. The teens loved it, my 17 year old said it was the best french toast he ever had, and that it was restaurant quality. So, how much do you think I should charge him? Next time I'll give him a check just to see his reaction.

I use a basic recipe for the batter of the french toast, eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. The apple syrup recipe I found on Allrecipes.

Cinnamon Apple Syrup

2 tart apples cored and peeled
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbs cinnamon
2 Tbs water
All  my ingredients were organic, and the water filtered.

Cut up the apples into chucks, combine all ingredients in a sauce pan, and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes, or until apples are soft, and the syrup thickens.

The teens poured the apple syrup over their french toast, and added a drizzle of maple syrup. The syrup was enough for the both of them, and six pieces of large french toast. There is nothing more fulfilling than making a homemade breakfast from scratch that my teens love, loving my life, and living it to the fullest.
