Jillian Michaels Killer Abs Review
The biggest thing that attracted me to the DVD was that it has 3 1/2 hour work outs. I discovered Jillian on YouTube, there are some free workouts on there from her on the Be Fit channel. So, I knew that I would be in for a great ab work out with this DVD.
No disappointment here, each 1/2 work out increases in intensity. The great thing is that while the focus is on the abs, you really get a full body work out, including cardio. Each workout is done in circuits, so each exercise is done twice. Jillian gives advanced and beginner options for each level. If your looking for crunches, forget it you won't find them here.
Each level starts with a brief warm up, 4 circuits which consist of 5 exercises repeated twice, then end with a brief cool down. While level one is a beginner work out, personally I feel this DVD is geared more to intermediate and advanced. You will need a work out mat with 3 and 5 lbs weights (optional.)
This is a great DVD for a quick work out because it really does work the whole body. So, if you are looking for something to do at home with not a lot of time, this DVD is for you.
Remember you don't have to get all the through the DVD, the strength and endurance will come with time. If you need to take a short break, and than continue, do so. There have been times when I could not get through one exercise DVD, and would do what I could and continue. Don't give up, it will come with time, and remember something is better than nothing.
