Food for Health & Healing

I met Kathleen DiChiara in May 2016 when I was working on an article for the magazine on Autism. April is National Autism month and I wanted to do an article, but I wanted it to be someone's personal story. I had head of parents ridding children with autism of all the symptoms and set out to find someone to interview. That someone was Kathleen, if you would like to read the interview it can be viewed on the magazine's "Past Issues" page. It was our first magazine so just scroll all the way down until you see a beautiful little boy happy and healthy.

Kathleen DiChiara, FDN-P, BNI-P, CHC

An educator, health advocate and mother of three, Kathleen broke into the field of nutrition to uncover the root cause of her own disease. She went from competing in triathlons and working in capital markets at a Fortune 500 company to becoming completely disabled at age 35. At the same time her son was diagnosed with autism.

Today, Kathleen shares her story of hope, recovery and resilience! Her son formally lost his autism diagnosis at age eleven and their dramatic story of recovery is featured in the soon-to-be-released documentary film, Secret Ingredients.
